Trinity’s choir is a dedicated group of singers who offer their God-given talents to the praise of God and the edification of the faithful. Each week they lead the congregation in singing hymns and service music, as well as performing anthems at the Offertory. At times parishioners with individual gifts will sing solos or play instruments.
Istvan Dioszegi has joined Trinity as of January 2017 as our organist and choirmaster. He played at St. James church in St. James from 2001-2016 (being originally hired there when Fr. Bartolomeo served as its rector). His repertoire includes organ music of Buxtehude, Bach, Handel, Krebs, and other baroque masters. He has a PhD in nuclear physics and works at the Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Trinity’s choir practices each Sunday morning at 11:30am. They meet in the choir room, which is in the basement of the Weaver building (enter from Scudder avenue).
