What a washout . . . weatherwise!  The picnic fell on the worst weather day
we've had in weeks.  Howling gale force winds swept the tide steadily inshore
as picnickers battened down the checkered tablecloths. 
Well, it felt that way.  The rain never really went completely away and it got pretty chilly
with a breeze blowing, but that didn't stop the hardy souls
of Trinity parish who built their fires on Scudder Beach.  And hey, the food was good!
