Trinity Episcopal Church
Mission Statement
We, the members of Trinity
Episcopal Church, pledge to spread
the good news of God in Christ to all nations,
"...baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
We pledge to start right here on
Main Street to seek out new members of the Body of Christ,
to be a welcoming and inviting Church, where all can learn about God,
where all can worship and be fed,
and where all can discern individual gifts for service and outreach.
GOALS FOR THE YEAR 2008
GOAL ONE: FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Trinity Church will continue to develop a fiscal plan which will reflect
responsibility for all income and expenditures.
This will be assessed by the
following:
1. The budget will be developed which will be both
balanced and developed
on a fixed line basis with vestry approval necessary for transfers between
lines.
2. There will be fiscal
transparency with monthly or quarterly reports to
the parish.
3. A five year plan will be
developed for capital improvement projects.
4. The number of pledges will
be increased.
5. A fiscal plan will be developed which will not necessitate the
parish responding to crises.
GOAL TWO: TRANSITION TO A NEW
RECTOR
Trinity Church will actively proceed with the process for finding a new
Rector.
This will be assessed by the
following:
1. The parish will increase
giving to enable the parish to reach this goal.
2. The Vestry will work
with the Diocese to form a Search Committee.
3. The Vestry will work
with the Diocese to develop a Parish Profile
4. The parish will be
informed about progress on a regular basis.
GOAL THREE: MEMBERSHIP
Trinity Church will increase membership during 2008.
This will be assessed by the
following:
1. Parishioners will support
the Membership Committee by attending regular
meetings to discuss new ways of
increasing membership.
2. An effort will be made
to attract additional participants in all parish
events.
3. An effort will be made to attract people in the community by
improved advertising, by developing an expanded web site, by placing our
brochures throughout the community, and other selected methods to attract
new parishioners.
4. There will be an increase in the number of parish events that
will welcome newcomers.
